Weekly Update

Very discouraging doctor's visit yesterday. No progress yet even with the loads of contractions that I have been having for probably almost a week. My doctor says his head is down but not low, not low enough to help my cervix change yet. When I walked down the hallway the nurse even commented on how fast I was still walking- not a good sign if you want to be in labor soon! So we wait, if next week's appointment comes and goes I will have an ultrasound at the end of the next week and we will schedule an induction for some time the following week with hopes that going 7-10 days past my due date will make my cervix more "favorable" for induction. If I have to be induced I have to be induced, I am trying to just be grateful that I don't live in rural Papua New Guinea where 1 is 7 women still die in childbirth...but if I don't get that "Let's go to the hospital, I'm in labor!" moment I will feel pretty jipped. I just need to focus on having a healthy baby come in to this world, however that may happen.
